TONIA LANS, MA LPC

Whether you are working through life’s tough moments, struggling with anxiety or depression, or simply dealing with issues that make you feel overwhelmed – Tonia wants to help you and your family navigate the frustrations of life to acquire a new sense of hope and happiness.

Tonia Lans has educational experience as a teacher and school counselor in the K-12 school system. In addition, she has worked in the college counseling setting helping students with disabilities transition to college and thrive. She understands the difficult issues many children and teens face today and the challenges of modern-day parenting. Tonia offers a highly personalized approach to counseling that is warm, respectful, and supportive. Her expertise includes relationship issues, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, ADHD, school issues and problems, and parenting issues and divorce. Tonia enjoys working with women going through life transitions, and also has experience working with the families and teens experiencing chronic illness issues and grief.

Tonia is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Michigan. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University, and her Master of Arts in School Counseling from Western Michigan University. Additionally, she is currently working on completing her PHD in Counseling Education/Psychology from Western Michigan University. Tonia loves spending time with her husband and three children and her dog Hazel, hiking, working with international students, all thing Marvel, and the adventure of life!
